Public Art Lab (PAL) is an interdisciplinary research platform for creativity in Berlin . It was founded by Susa Pop , artist and arts manager together with the artist Hans J. Wiegner. PAL works in developing, examining and exchanging artistic and cultural concepts related to urban space and structures.

In 2002, the idea for Mobile Museums started to develop while researching and investigating urban space. A research team with Viola Vahrson , lecturer at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste ( Academy of Fine Arts ) in Braunschweig, and other academics steadily intensified this idea.

PAL, together with their international partners are responsible for all management, construction and communication associated with the project.

Das Architekturbüro Gruber + Popp Architekten BDA setzte die Raumkonzepte der Künstler in konstruktive Entwürfe um und erstellte die Planung der Kuben bis hin zu den Werkstattzeichnungen.
